A new House opened the door to new ways to use my beautiful holiday decorations.  Bill and I love to decorate for the holidays, so the dust was hardly settled from unpacking the boxes, when we hauled out our Christmas boxes. Here is the bannister in our new house bedecked and  bedazzled.

 As you all know, Carol has recently moved to Nashville, and like many of you, she is starting brand new in an area where she has no business connections.  During the year, she will journal her progress with the hopes you can learn and be inspired by her progress.

JoAnne and I always encourage our students to do one thing every day to grow our business, well, time for me to do the same. Even though it is the holiday season, I must get my business going for 2009.   
 
12-1-Bill and I have decided to focus on the staging aspect of my business.  Time to see what the staging climate is here compared to New Jersey and Florida.
12-2-Checked with local furniture rental furniture companies to see the going rate for a room of furniture. Furniture packages averaged $185 a month without any accessories.
12-3- Spending time online today to check out the competition.  For the most part, I am just finding my former students, will find a way to work "with" them, not "against" them.
12-4-Begin the press release for local media.
12-5-Build list to who the press release will be sent to.
 12-6-Researching deals on furniture and accessories to start building my own staging inventory.
12-7-Working on new look for website with JoAnne
 12-8-Spend time today getting to know my new city by going on a field trip so I know which areas I want to focus on.
12-9-Research the movers and shakers that I want to connect with.  Builders and Realtors are my focus today.
12-10-Begin the search for retail stores that I can connect with to offer presentations to get my name known.
 
Stay tuned as we share with you Carol's journey toward business success in a new city.  JoAnne also will be updating her marketing strategy  in 2009.  Basically, we are both going to publicly implement the ideas that we share with you so you can see the effectiveness of Consistent and Planned Marketing.  We will be Addicted to Marketing to take our business to new levels.

Our first ever "at Home" Live Class is wrapping up this week and we have had great feedback.  This class was our experiment  but the result has been so great, we are expanding our learn at home opportunities. Interior Redesign and Staging taught at home will be coming in 2009 as well.  Stay tuned for details about these classes.
 
Our learn at home or distance learning has a twist.  Your classes will be live led by JoAnne Lenart-Weary with an opportunity to review the materials by accessing the taped version of each class as well to reinforce your learning.  You can ask your questsions in real time instead of waiting for someone to get back to you as you would with an on-demand class.  We believe the personal element is critical. 
 
The Color with no Regrets "at Home" begins with you receiving your color kit in the mail with your workbook, paint deck, color wheel, and a variety of other learning aids to help you to get the most out of the class.
Class includes group and private class time so you maximize your learning opportunities.  You will also have regular "homework" to help you to put what you learn into action.
 
Color with No Regrets "at Home" $849, sign up by December 15 at $799.  Deposit of $400 due at sign up, balance due by January 5.
Class size is limited so sign up NOW!  Class will run 6 consectuive Tuesdays at Noon OR 7 PM.  You select if Day or Evening class is better for you each week.  We also will have some bonus times with times to be determined as we go.
