Hope you are all great. Winter is here and it is time to consider the changes needed in our eating. Winter according to the Chinese FIVE elements theories, is related to water. This relates to the kidney and bladder. Water is the essential media of your body through which all things pass. It is part of the lymphatic flow, helps eliminate waste, fight of infection, and facilitates the flow of saliva, perspiration, tears and sexual fluids. The kidneys filter the blood and keep the blood and the body clean and in balance. They filter several thousand of quarts of blood daily. Extracting and keeping the balance of minerals, salts, acids, and wastes. The health of the kidney can be seen in the glow of the skin hair and eyes. The vitality of all body fluids is maintained by the kidney and bladder. "The groins and the bladder are like magistrates of a region or district; they store the overflow and the fluid secretions, which serve to regulate vaporisation. " NEI CHING"

Poor Circulation If you have poor circulation there are a number of things you may try: My favorite is in the morning when the dew is thick on the ground, with bare feet walk on the dew for 5 minutes this drives the blood to the feet stimulating the blood flow. Hot meals like curry and chili dishes will help, garlic and ginger are both highly recommended for improving circulation.
Calendula Tea 4 cups per day. Lime Flower Tea 1 cup per day Rosehip Tea 1 - 2 cups per day Don't forget to exercise Don't forget to keep your water intake up to at least 2 liters per day. Don't forget your Seaweed

NUTRITION FOR WINTER
At this time of the year it is also wise to increase your nutrition whether it is by eating good organic food or by taking Whole Food Supplements - As a Practitioner in Australia I can't name Brands so if you don't know which brand I am referring to ASK ME what I take. Many of us don't eat the recommended 18 serves of raw, vine ripened fruit and vegetables per day (RAW) even in the hot summer so it is not likely that we would be eating enough raw through the winter. If this applies to you then I have a simple, cost effective answer. Since taking THIS myself now for over 9 years I have to say it is the best thing around when it comes to Nutrition. One of the most moderately price supplements around at $76.00 per month per adult it has no comparison and none of the others compare to this "Whole Food Supplement" 10 Vegetables and grains - carrots, barley, parsley, beets, kale, broccoli, cabbage, oats, spinach, and tomatoes. The Fruit blend consists of apples, oranges, pineapples, cranberries, peaches, paw paw and acerola cherries.
Do yourself a favour ask me what I take daily for true PREVENATIVE NUTRITION |
Winter Flu As the winter flu approaches it is also recommended to increase your intake of herbs and foods. If you are taking My Preferred Whole Food Supplement you may double up to improve your healing ability during times of exposure, I double up as soon as I notice anything just to prevent catching anything and it has worked for me. All of which, will support and strengthen the immune system. Garlic is a good immune tonic. Onion is another. Ginger also. Of course the hot lemon and honey is highly recommended at this time of year.Take a good dose of Salmon Oil as often as you remember. Use Eucalypt oil in your oil burner to stop the spread through the house, wash your floors and surface with it by adding a few drops of oil to your cleaning water. Put Lavender and Eucalypt oil on the throat.
The best herbs to be taking for Flu prevention are in my opinion
Elder Flower, Elder Berry, Peppermint, Astragalis, Boneset, White Horehound to name a few.
