Biancardi Benefits From Coaching Change
BY JIM SEIMAS, SANTA CRUZ SENTINEL

BINO
Andrew Biancardi's baseball career left the fast lane and exited on a slow road to nowhere two years ago. It was the life of a starter turned bench-warmer. Sure, he was getting his education paid for by Santa Clara University, but on the school's baseball diamond he was watching grains of sand slide through an hourglass.

A lifelong ballplayer, Biancardi first endeared himself with Santa Cruz County as a starting infielder for the Aptos All-Stars team that qualified to the Little League World Series in 2002, and later as a three-year starting third baseman on Aptos High's nationally ranked and record-setting team.
