FREE RECYCLING EVENTS THIS WEEK!
Shredding Friday May 4th

The City of Greenville will hold two free events this weekend to encourage recycling and make it as convenient as possible for residents and business owners to safely dispose of documents and unwanted electronics.
On Friday, May 4, the City will again partner with Shred-it Greenville to host a free shredding event for the public from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the TD Convention Center. All paper MUST be bagged or boxed and each person is limited to three large trash bags or three small boxes of paper. Bags and boxes must be intact, with no rips or tears. Reusable bags, boxes or containers will be returned to you. Attendees will also have an opportunity to support Meals On Wheels, which will be at the event accepting monetary donations.

Electronics, Fluorescent Bulbs & Bicycles
Saturday May 5th

The second event is the City's bi-annual electronics and fluorescent bulb recycling event, which will take place on Saturday, May 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the City's Public Works facility, located at 360 South Hudson Street. Greenville residents and businesses can drop off electronic items for free during this
special event, and for the first time, the City will also accept gently-used bicycles for recycling.
Fluorescent bulb, tube and ballast returns are
limited to 10 bulbs per person.
