The City of Greenville is requesting SEALED bids from qualified contractors for Haywood Road Underground Utility Conversion - Phase II Part A, in accordance with the SCDOT Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, Edition 2007, City of Greenville Design and Specifications Manual, Duke Energy Specifications, Charter Communications Specifications, and City of Greenville Special Provisions.

 

The project includes, but is not limited to: demolition and removal of pavement, curb, and obstructions; coordination with Utility companies for removal and relocation of existing services; clearing and grubbing of existing landscaping; installation of electric duct bank, manholes, transformer pads, switchgear pads, conduit, etc., cable TV conduit and vaults, traffic conduit and fiber optic cable, a new signal system at Woods Crossing Road and new mast arms, associated asphalt, and curb & gutter; replacement or repair of Landscaping; and traffic Control.

A MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY,

MARCH 13, 2012, 3:00 PM., 7TH FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM, CITY HALL,

206 SOUTH MAIN STREET, GREENVILLE, SC 29601.

 

All bids are to be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the quoted bid price.

 

The successful contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.

 

THE DEADLINE FOR QUSTIONS IS: 2:00 P.M. MARCH 27, 2012

 

SEALED BIDS will be received in the City of Greenville's Purchasing Division, 7th floor, City Hall, 206 South Main Street, Greenville, South Carolina until 2:00 P.M. ET, April 10, 2012, and promptly thereafter; all sealed bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud.
