Green Ribbon Advisory Committee Public Workshop
City of Greenville
DATE: January 24, 2012
TIME: 6:30 PM
LOCATION: Hughes Main Library (25 Heritage Green Pl.)
The City's Green Ribbon Advisory Committee will share the progress made since its previous public workshop in June 2011. The Committee has been working to integrate public input, recommendations from previously adopted City planning documents, and the expertise of three ad-hoc committees (Mobility, Recycling & Waste Management, and Energy & Buildings). The Committee has developed draft goals and strategies to ensure the City is recognized as a leader in sustainability through increased operating efficiencies and cost savings, environmental stewardship, and economic development. The draft framework developed by the Committee for Greener Greenville, a sustainability action plan, will be presented for public input.
If you're unable to attend, the latest draft version of the plan will be posted on the City's Sustainability webpage. You'll also find a link there to complete a survey and to provide input on the draft plan. The draft plan and survey will be posted after the public workshop; the survey will be available at least through February 20, 2012.
Please help us spread the word about this public workshop by sharing this announcement with your friends, co-workers, and other potentially interested people and groups. Thank you!
