NTN-Bower Groundbreaking

NTN-Bower Groundbreaking  On Tuesday July 17th, NTN-Bower Corporation broke ground for its new plant expansion. The new plant will create a minimum of 80 new full-time manufacturing jobs and will be completed spring 2013. The new   plant is being built directly east of the existingMr. Kamo plant. Kunio Kamo,  President of NTN-Bower, and Toru Tomiyama, General Director of NTN Americas Region, made remarks at the groundbreaking ceremony along with Craig Allen, General Manager of production and Mayor Mike Inman, of Macomb. Mr. Kamo briefly discussed that the 240,000-square foot expansion equals a third of the size of the  existing plant and will be a great investment for Macomb. The production line in the new expansion will specialize in the manufacturing of 4 to 8 inch tapered roller bearings.Mr. Tomiyama NTN-Bower, MAEDCO and Mayor Inman have been preparing for the expansion for over a year. The new plant will contribute to the growth and development of both the City of Macomb and the State of Illinois. NTN-Bower has been manufacturing roller bearings  in Macomb since 1965.

IDOT: Long-Range Transportation Plan Public Meetings

You're Views are Important!

Transportation for Illinois Illinois Transportation Secretary Ann Schneider announced that the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) will seek early input into the development of its upcoming Multi-Modal Transportation Improvement Program for Fiscal Years 2014-2019. Informational and feedback sessions will be held in communities throughout the state. All public meetings will be conducted informally, with no formal presentation. IDOT staff will be present to answer any questions related to the multimodal program, planning and project development process. Also, IDOT will present the latest draft of its Long-Range Transportation Plan that it began updating earlier this year. The plan encompasses all modes of transportation and provides a framework for the department to address current and future needs. There are over 15 statewide public meetings scheduled; however, our closest sessions are:

The preliminary master plan is the first step in developing a single vision for the University that will be used to guide future development decisions on campus. The Master Planning team would greatly appreciate your input to ensure that the proposed plan accurately reflects your future goals for Western Illinois University.
