IDOT: Long-Range Transportation Plan Public Meetings |
You're Views are Important!
Illinois Transportation Secretary Ann Schneider announced that the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) will seek early input into the development of its upcoming Multi-Modal Transportation Improvement Program for Fiscal Years 2014-2019. Informational and feedback sessions will be held in communities throughout the state. All public meetings will be conducted informally, with no formal presentation. IDOT staff will be present to answer any questions related to the multimodal program, planning and project development process. Also, IDOT will present the latest draft of its Long-Range Transportation Plan that it began updating earlier this year. The plan encompasses all modes of transportation and provides a framework for the department to address current and future needs. There are over 15 statewide public meetings scheduled; however, our closest sessions are:

The MYP for the current FY 2013-2018 totals about $9.2 billion and focuses on maintenance and improvement of the existing state road system.
