Another Type of Field

Although the line is often misquoted, the meaning is the same. While the actual line in the Field of Dreams movie is "If you build it, he will come," Ray (played by Kevin Costner) hears the words while he walks through his cornfield and sees a vision of a baseball field. Whether it is "he" or "they," I often believe the Hanford Community and Ray have a lot in common.
Hanford believed in future generations and passed Measure C. The following is just a quick glimpse of how things have changed for COS Hanford in a few short years.
While the number of Hanford Center students who take classes at three or more COS locations has remained constant at under 100, something changed dramatically in Fall of 2010--when the new facility opened. Students are now able to take more of their classes at one campus (Hanford)--and go to one location without splitting their time.

In addition, the number of Full Time Equivalent Students has grown in the last couple of years. This graph shows the number of full time equivalent students (full course load for the entire year) for the COS Hanford Center!
So, thank you Hanford for knowing that if you build it....they will come. And many students, because of YOU, will be able to achieve their dreams!
