Greetings!
We wish you the best this Thanksgiving holiday - safe travels or the comfort of home. If you happen to be reading this newsletter outside the US (and are not celebrating Thanksgiving), then, happy Thursday to you!
You'll notice a new icon in our left sidebar - it's the NEIBA holiday catalog. Click on the book cover (a clever adaptation of Jeff Kinney's newest book, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever) to be taken to our online catalog. Titles are selected by members of the New England Independent Booksellers Association. In the bookshop, you'll find a table display highlighting many of these books.
Other news items this week include information about the Concord Free Press, a listing of some of the signed books we have in stock, and the holiday-themed community window from the Concord Chamber of Commerce.
As always, we look forward to chatting with you in the Bookshop! Comments are also welcome via email to

Concord Free Press
"A revolutionary experiment in generosity-based publishing"

Concord Free Press announces the publication of their newest novel, A Handbook of American Prayer by Lucius Shepard. The novel is a "dark satirical novel [which] explores the Holy Trinity of religion, fame, and money."
The novel is - literally - priceless. Concord Free Press publishes quality books and gives them away, asking that, in return, the reader:
- make a voluntary donation to a charity or someone in need
- track that donation on the CFP website
- pass the book along to someone else, so the giving continues
To date, generous readers have contributed more than $230,000 in donations.
We have copies of A Handbook of American Prayer to share with those who want to be part of the revolutionary three-step process outlined above.
