NC45 Launch |

Tired of trying to measure awkward substances? Tired of having to protect the viewing port? Looking to measure surfaces in their natural state? The new spectrophotometer from Lovibond ® Tintometer ® will enable you to do just that. With no test surface needed to make physical contact against the viewing point, is it ideal for the colour measurement and analysis of those substances such as liquids and pastes which have traditionally required protection from a spectrophotometer when being measured. The official announcement of the NC 45 (Non-Contact 45/0° geometry) spectrophotometer will take place in January 2011. Be sure to check our news regularly to find out more details. Or be the first to see the NC 45 in action at the Food and Beverage Test Expo. |

The Palette
Volume 4, 2010 |
Dear ,
Welcome to the December edition of The Palette. As we near the end of 2010, we'd like to thank all our Lovibond® users for their support throughout the year. It's been an exciting year - the new PFXi products continue to gain momentum in the industry and users are already benefiting from our innovative RCMSi technology. If you are a member of the PFXi User Group, be sure to make note of the firmware upgrade available below.
And, at the end of the year, we are introducing you to an exciting new product, the NC 45 spectrophotometer. This is a non-contact 45/0o spectrophotometer for the colour measurement of those awkward wet and dry materials.
However, as promised, The Palette is a forum for education, not just information on our new products. In this issue, we have taken the opportunity to inform you of a new ISO standard that has been introduced to the colour community. We are also happy to present the White Paper on Visual vs Automatic Colour Measurement that was presented at the EuroFed Lipid event in Munich last month.
And, of course, there is the usual update on when and where you can meet up with the Lovibond® Team 'on-the-road' in 2011. The Editor

White Paper Now Available
In our last edition of The Palette, we mentioned how Matthew Russell would be presenting his views on how defining the colour of a product and ensuring colour accuracy every time is critical to long-term success and accurate communication within a supply chain. We're happy to say that the presentation was well attended and well received. Although the event itself was targeted at the Oils and Fats Industry, the thoughts in the White Paper apply equally across all the industries Lovibond ® Tintometer ® addresses including, but not limited to: Beers, Malts and Caramels; Petroleum Oils and Waxes, Sugar Solutions and Honey; Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics; Coatings; Medical and Chemical. If you are responsible for ensuring colour quality at your facilities, feel free to download the White Paper to read at your leisure. |

This is the last issue of The Palette in 2010 though we'll be sure to keep you updated further next year. Meanwhile, all that is left for us to say is 'thank you' again for your support throughout what has been a very successful year for Lovibond® Tintometer®.
