Happy 4th of July!  This is a great time to stop to be thankful for the freedoms that we enjoy by living in this great country.

Many great things are happening at West Georgia Eye Care and I am excited to share some of them with you.  Last month, we introduced you to Dr. Jennifer Carter and now we have a neat little video so you can get to know her.  This issue also has a couple of interesting articles that answer some of the questions that we get a lot.

 I hope you enjoy.

Sincerely,
Dr. Mike Rothschild

Children Exams

Did you know that up to 10 percent of preschoolers and 1 in 4 school-aged children have vision problems? Many of these vision problems go undetected until the child's performance begins to be affected.

Children often do not tell their parents about their vision problems. Usually, because they do not realize it's a problem or they do not know how to verbalize their difficulties.

Some children are finding it difficult to track information on computer screens and while reading books. Others may be struggling during sports like tennis, baseball, football, soccer, and volleyball due to an undetected vision problem.

If you know a child who hasn't had an eye exam in a year or more, we can help. Just call 770-834-0212 or go to our website to schedule an appointment.

Polarized Lenses

When would we recommend polarized lenses? There are several types of people that would be a candidate for a polarized lens. Fishermen and those who enjoy water sports benefit greatly from polarized lenses due to lenses ability to eliminate the glare off the top of the water.

Glare is virtually eliminated with Polarized Sunglasses

A simple daily commute to work can be changed by a pair of polarized lenses. Polarized lenses eliminate the piercing glare from other cars making your eyes feel less strained by the time you reach your destination.
