Voted Best Afternoon Tea - Phoenix Magazine Best of the Valley |
 |
| A Note from Jo....

Well, it looks as though the summer is drawing to a close, that is only if you look at the calendar as here in Carefree, Arizona the temperature is still tipping the charts at over 90 degrees most days.
Still, September is the month for new beginnings. For some it's the dreaded "back to school" when the summer can never seem long enough. For others it's the thought of cooler climes, longer walks with the dogs, fall colors in the stores and the awful prospect that there are only about three months left 'till Christmas!
Here at the Tea Room we have lots of exciting events planned for the upcoming season, so make sure you mark your own calendars with some of the dates and events shown in this month's newsletter.
I took a flying visit back to England during August and celebrated my Dad's BIG birthday. It was great to get my Brit fix again and see all the family, sometimes being 6,000 miles away is just too far away. I managed to scoot back to the US before those crazy riots...what's happened to "jolly" old England?
Next year is a big year for the homeland when London hosts the Summer Olympics and it's the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. That's 60 years as our Queen! Yes, we will be celebrating in style at the Tea Room of course, so make sure you are forwarding our newsletter to all your friends so they don't miss out on the celebrations...and you might want to think about dusting off that tiara, too.
See you in for tea and cheerio for now,
Jo
