A Note from Jo....

Jo Tea Room New Look We survived the remodel!

If you haven't visited us recently you must stop in for a cuppa and check out our new look. I love my new chairs, draped in beautiful velvets, brocades and silks and corseted all up the back. Each chair looks like a handmade dress fit for a Royal Wedding!

We changed the color of the walls so now they resemble good strong tea, with milk. We took down the big heavy valance in the window in favor of a twiggy, more romantic look with beautiful stained glass panels. Gone is the cottage chintz, to be replaced by a sophistication and charm that our customers tell us they LOVE. Thanks go to my dear friend Peg Kusner who really inspired me to take the plunge and change up the interior. We've been here for 10 years. It was time!

Other news: We are open EVERY day this summer from 11am to 4pm and believe it or not, you might still need a reservation as we have been (ssshhh) busy!!

We also managed to survive the dust storm. Good grief, I have never seen anything like it. I was wishing everyone a Happy " Filth" of July. Thankfully Mother Nature rescued us and the monsoons have really helped clear out the dirt.

In the spirit of "out with the old and in with the new," we have some great bargains as we get ready for the fall season. Lots of merchandise drastically reduced, with some items marked down to $1, as we make way for our new seasonal inventory.

Hope to see you this summer for the utterly civilized pleasure of taking time for tea.

Cheerio,

Jo
