Hi Ladies,
Do you ever worry about money?
I worry about money . . . well, actually, I worry about a lack of money. And this sense of "lack" has little to do with how much money I actually have and more to do with a basic insecurity that developed the moment I became single 11 years ago.
Because of this, several years ago I started my own unscientific poll on single women's dysfunctional relationship with money. And -- shocking! -- I found that most single women (and many married women) shared my same financial insecurities. And their anxiety around money issues had nothing to do with their education, job, or current wealth.
It was heartening -- and worrisome -- to discover that I was not alone! When bestselling author and nationally-recognized life coach, Martha Beck, facilitated a workshop for A Woman's Way last summer, we spent a lot of time discussing this phenomenon (which, by the way, few men have -- or admit to!). Those conversations resulted in Martha offering to facilitate a special two-day women's workshop on creating financial abundance -- June 19 & 20 -- Money Making Genius for 20th Century Women.
Begin to live from a place of abundance rather than scarcity. From joy and passion rather than fear and dread. Click here for details or to register today!

| Breathing Space . . . finding peace and clarity in a frenzied world | | Grace touches all of our lives. It's always there; we only need to image its possibility.
Creating quiet space in our lives allows us to see its unfolding, to really see the magic and feel the nudges that propel us in the direction of enlivening our lives and opening us up to new possibilities.
Take some breathing space this week to see and touch the magic of grace in your life. Open up some quiet time while driving to work, sitting in your garden, drinking your morning coffee, taking the dog for a walk. Breathe, quiet your mind, and notice what surfaces . . . lost dreams? hopes? new possibilities? Begin to expand on these themes in your journal and notice what transpires over time.
We truly become what we give our time and attention to . . . |
| Hope and Inspiration ~ the foundations of our dreams |
In the face of challenges, we can despair, get angry, blame others
. . . or choose possibility . . .a new way of seeing, a different way of acting.
I encourage you to turn off the evening news, put down the newspaper, shut down your computer and pick up one of Greg Mortenson"s inspirational books. He sees possibilities where few people have.
His first book, the runaway bestseller, Three Cups of Tea, was followed by an even more amazing book, Stones into Schools. The work that Greg has done in central Asia on behalf of children -- particularly girls -- is nothing short of miraculous. Run to the bookstore today and begin to learn about the how his work has shaped the lives of people in the poorest corners of Afghanistan and Pakistan. He is my hero and I believe he might become your hero as well!
OUR DEEPEST FEAR by Marianne Williamson
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate,
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant,
Gorgeous, talented and fabulous -- Actually, who are you not to be? |
