The Power of NetWorking
The statement "There's strength in numbers" rings true when you consider how far-reaching your own professional and social networks may be.
It is estimated that the average person knows about 250 people. And each of those people knows, in turn, another 250 or so people. This means that for each new person you meet, you gain access to a potential pool of 62,500 people separated from you by just two degrees.
It's not just who you know who can make a difference, but who you know who knows someone who knows someone else.

Referrals, such as those from networking, were the leading source of all external hires in 2011?
