Telecom Logo

Telecom Service Bureau in Ocala is a mobile virtual network aggregator with the ability to offer a full menu of turnkey support solutions to wireless service providers in the shortest time at the lowest possible cost.

So when the seven-year-old company needed to expand its staff recently, it wanted a swift, efficient recruiting program that would also offer a low-cost solution. They found it through Workforce Connection's On-the-Job Training (OJT) program. OJT can reimburse employers from 50 to 90 percent of their eligible new employees' wages while the employee is working for and being trained by the company. The program provides employers with financial incentive to work with promising job candidates to help close skills gaps.

Telecom was able to hire 12 job candidates through Workforce Connection's OJT program.

"This agency has been nothing but helpful with recruiting and the entire selection process," said Cherise Warner, Telecom's human resources manager. Warner said the Workforce Connection staff guided Telecom through the process, was "available to assist in every way possible," and their "determination and persistence cannot be matched."

Warner added that Telecom will continue to use Workforce Connection "for any and all future openings."
