EMPLOYERS

Taco Bell Logo

When the Taco Bell in Inverness decided to raze its old restaurant and raise a new one on the same site,  Workforce Connection went to work on a plan for a Job Fair that could help them hire additional team members and shift managers.

Workforce also helped publicize the event through distribution of a news release published by local media, including on the front page of the Citrus County Chronicle, creation of customized fliers, and use of Workforce's Social Media to help get the word out to job seekers.

Since the restaurant was still under construction, the Job Fair took place on February 17 at Workforce Connection's Inverness Resource Center.  About 100 applicants showed up and all four hiring managers from Taco Bell were on hand to conduct interviews. The result: 30 qualified candidates were hired following reference checks and other due diligence conducted by Workforce staff.

Taco Bell also held their new staff orientation at the Workforce Connection office a week after the job fair.

All Workforce Connection employer services related to the job fair - recruiting, screening, event planning/execution, promotion, use of venue, support  staff  -  were provided to Taco Bell at no charge.
