Nonverbal Communication Says a Lot
- Be aware of the powerful influence that nonverbal communication has on your interactions.
- Learn the meanings and use various
nonverbal "signals", i.e. personal energy, eye contact, facial expressions, body language, vocal tone, intonation etc., to enhance your messages.
- Be very cognizant of your use of body language.
- Use appropriate body language that aligns with
your message so others will "see" it as congruent and not confusing.
- Learn to read others' nonverbal "signals". This can be very helpful to understand the "deeper" meaning.
