Growing a Community Garden

The Chamber's Beautification Committee will be creating a community garden this spring.  It will be created on a piece of land where interested citizens could work a designated plot of land to grow a vegetable garden to produce food for their family and/or organization.  The concept of community gardens are used around the world and with many people living in apartments and increased urban living, it can prove to be an asset to any community.  If you are interested in providing a parcel of land to be used for a community garden, please contact Donna at the Chamber office.  We are not seeking the donation of land, but just the use of it while it is not needed by the owner. Also, anyone who is interested in participating as a "grower" or just want to help with the creation of the garden, give us a call.
