Holiday Basketball - The Governor's Challenge / East Coast Invitational Tournament

The Rotary Club of Salisbury is assisting Wicomico County Tourism again this year to present a regional holiday basketball tournament in late December. This event not only brings tourism dollars into our community in the off season, it also helps to fund Rotary programs such as scholarships and youth athletics.

This year's Governor's Challenge will again pit 12 (or more) Maryland teams against a like number of teams from Delaware for "best basketball" bragging rights. But there is something NEW this year - the East Coast Invitational. This event will feature four regional marquee teams (Dunbar #8 MD, St. Johns College HS #11 MD, Red Lions #3 DE and Norfolk Christian #4 VA) in a mini-tournament to be held December 28-30.

We hope you will consider a sponsorship package in support of this year's tournament, or perhaps an advertisement in the 2,500 programs we plan to print and hand out for free. More details and rates email Art Cooley at art.cooley@gmail.com.
