| Dear Dance Enthusiasts! |
I hope that you are all enjoying your summer! I am please to have helped so many of you transform your dancing over the past year. There is a line from a Robert Frost poem The Road Not Taken that comes to my mind as fall approaches. "I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference." Sometimes we need to take a path we have not travelled often to explore ourselves. Whether it be taking on a new hobby or activity or meeting new people, which road will you take? Maybe exploring a new direction in dance? There are special classes for women only. And you can dust off your dance shoes with two upcoming practice sessions. As a newsletter subscriber, you are also entitled to pre-registration. This means you can register for all 2011/12 groups from now until Wednesday, August 31st. Regular registration for the general public commences Tuesday, Sept. 6th. If you do not see a program to meet your needs or availability, consider private coaching or create a custom group class with your friends. Thank you for all of your support, feedback, and helping my business to grow. Due to rising costs, you will notice that there has been an increase in tuition. These classes are still very affordable in the dance market and I'm sure you'll agree, you get your moneys worth! Online payment is also now available through PayPal! Please make sure you read all of the newsletter, you'll be happy you did (hint hint)! Once again, thank you for showing up for classes, attending my dances, and spreading the word about Sabrina's Dance Instruction. I appreciate your enthusiasm!
" I come to class,.. and the time we spend together, teaching and learning is guaranteed to take me to a level which is a better one than the one I walked in on." Peter McKay |

| Testimonials | |
"I continue to experience you as a most excellent dance instructor. Clear instruction in a variety of ways, breaking down the visual into digestive bites, having an intuitive sense of the pulse of the class."
Catherine Toole (business owner)
(Major learning experiences?)
"Leading isn't dragging your partner around the floor, but guiding them"
Megan Rennie & Will Richardson
"We are enjoying this class so much and are fondly referring to Fridays as our "date night". It is great to have this time as a couple (we've been married for 28 years) and love your humor and understanding of insecurities as new dancers." Wes & Jenny Cupido (business owners) (Major learning experiences?) "That someone who, for more than half a lifetime, believed he had no rhythm or ability to move to music, has been shown through Sabrina's ability and diligence that this is not the case." Peter McKay (goldsmith) (Reason started dancing...?) "It started as a joke (talking wise). We decided to look into it ended up sounding fun, turns out it is! Alex Stanley (online store manager)
"In your teaching you are always emphasizing the importance of the "relationship" and this has allowed us to schedule time for ourselves. We always enjoy your classes. We're challenged to learn and improve and through your teaching methods we continue to add to what we know and practice what we already had." Nicole Stevens (Enjoy most...?) "The positive learning atmosphere. Constructive criticism delivered with a smile is a fantastic method of fostering improvement." Megan Inglis
"What a great experience, to "hang out" as a couple for a social evening. Instruction was simple, easy to follow and with a humorous twist! Much unlike those "hoity toity" dance classes I have taken before." Doreen & Andrew Slessor

| FAQ's | |
I know practicing helps me to improve, but it's a challenge. Do you have any tips to help make it easier to do?
1) Schedule in practice time, just like your lessons. Mark it in your planner/iPhone/Blackberry. And then treat that time like you paid for it!
2) Find a space that works. Your living room, basement, deck, garage. Your fitness club, racquetball court, aerobics room(check with the front desk first!). For all you teachers out there - use your school. And when the weather is nice - tennis courts, yard, park.
3) Plan in dance opportunities. Go to dances (buy tickets/memberships so you'll go), practice sessions (2 coming up!), dinner dance outings with friends once a month. Remember to check my Ongoing Dance Events and Event Calendar.
4) Make sure you have music for all the dances that you know. Buy or make Practice CD's. Fill up your iPod/MP3 player. You can search on iTunes for dances (ie: Cha Cha, Waltz, ect..) You can also purchase Practice CD's from me on your lessons.
