| Dear Dance Enthusiasts! |
Spring is here! Spring is here! Spring is here!!! Well I guess I have a spring in my step! Spring has been busy for me -
I even had the pleasure of dancing with Mayor Crouse at the Red Shoe Gala (see more below). There are many things going on for June - group classes are winding up (thanks for bringing your pillows!), my performance is coming up, and there is a dance in St. Albert - things are looking up! For those of you wanting to dance this summer, custom group or private lessons are still available. Practice sessions will also be making a comeback in late August/mid September. For those of you already inquiring for fall classes with Sabrina's Dance Instruction - make sure you are on my newsletter list for pre-registration opportunities coming in August!
"She's always right but..." flip side "He's the boss but..."
" I come to class,.. and the time we spend together, teaching and learning is guaranteed to take me to a level which is a better one than the one I walked in on." Peter McKay |

| Dancing in the Summer |
While group classes stop during the summer, what happens if you don't want to? Take private coaching! Whether you just can't stop dancing, have special events coming up or want to get ready for the next level for the fall, from Two Left Feet to Dance Enthusiast, there is value for everyone. You pick what you want to work on. You can use it to work on partnership or freestyle dancing. You can even share lessons with your friends through semi-private coaching. Or create your own customized group class with three or more of your favorite couples! Lessons are available in St. Albert on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the summer. Private lessons are available all year long. To find out more, contact Sabrina.
"Thank you for your help and suggestions with our first dance. It turned out beautifully. We had compliments that it was the "best first dance people have seen" Thank you." Sherri & Ben Dickon
"We have learned a lot from Sabrina especially in ways that both of us can relate to. Extra information given enhances experience of the dances. Thanks!" Brenda & Phil Filipchuk |

| Testimonials | |
"I continue to experience you as a most excellent dance instructor. Clear instruction in a variety of ways, breaking down the visual into digestive bites, having an intuitive sense of the pulse of the class."
Catherine Toole (business owner)
(Major learning experiences?)
"Leading isn't dragging your partner around the floor, but guiding them"
Megan Rennie & Will Richardson
"We are enjoying this class so much and are fondly referring to Fridays as our "date night". It is great to have this time as a couple (we've been married for 28 years) and love your humor and understanding of insecurities as new dancers." Wes & Jenny Cupido (business owners) (Major learning experiences?) "That someone who, for more than half a lifetime, believed he had no rhythm or ability to move to music, has been shown through Sabrina's ability and diligence that this is not the case." Peter McKay (goldsmith) (Reason started dancing...?) "It started as a joke (talking wise). We decided to look into it ended up sounding fun, turns out it is! Alex Stanley (online store manager)
"In your teaching you are always emphasizing the importance of the "relationship" and this has allowed us to schedule time for ourselves. We always enjoy your classes. We're challenged to learn and improve and through your teaching methods we continue to add to what we know and practice what we already had." Nicole Stevens (Enjoy most...?) "The positive learning atmosphere. Constructive criticism delivered with a smile is a fantastic method of fostering improvement." Megan Inglis
"What a great experience, to "hang out" as a couple for a social evening. Instruction was simple, easy to follow and with a humorous twist! Much unlike those "hoity toity" dance classes I have taken before." Doreen & Andrew Slessor

| FAQ's | |
Can you teach a man to lead?
Absolutely! The key to giving direction to a lady on the dance floor is confidence. Leading on the dance floor is highly masculine and once the man understands what he is doing, how to do it, when and why he does it, then leading becomes simple. Most men learn things in a dramatically different way then women. That is why I teach men in a style unique to the way they learn. Once a man understands things logically, he is confident and stronger in his lead and therefore easier for the lady to trust and follow.

| Stepping Out with Mayor Crouse |
What a fun event! The Red Shoe gala raises money and awareness for St. Alberts SAIF (Stop Abuse In Families - my charity of choice. SAIF raised a total of $10,000 that night. I had the pleasure of dancing with and teaching Mayor Crouse at the Red Shoe Gala to promote my auction item of a 2 hour custom Group class for 10 couples - the winner even over bid! Music was provided by Rave On and we danced into the night - I even saw a few familiar faces from my student body. The "red shoe" part of the Gala is men paying $100 for the privilege to wear red high heels for 1 hour - walking a mile in her shoes to raise awareness. It was amazing how many men "stepped up" - and how many had the legs for it! It was all in good sport and I hope to see many of you there next year - with or without the red shoes! |
