 It's a Conspiracy....

Hamiliton Wright Mabie wrote, "Blessed is the season which engages the whole world in a conspiracy of love".
Isn't that just a perfect quote for the season?

You can just close your eyes and feel the beautiful energy of the holiday surrounding us.  The air seems lighter when we walk outside, the decor is so colorful and bright, and we are in an amazing conspiracy of love together. The key is we need to embrace the moment.

This spirit of the holidays can bring us joy and a little stress.  I know we're busy at our company with decor and balloon drops, but I'm also busy in my therapy world.  My clients come to be stressed because of the holiday expectations and our clients in the event industry stress us out.  So, I'm here to remind you to keep a hold on the true meaning of the holidays, regardless of your beliefs.  The holiday rush will be over, there is light at the end of the tunnel, and you need to take just that simple moment to be with  the one person that can make a change, and that's you!

The holiday is a conspiracy of love and positive energy and our ISES board is a part of it!!  We are including you in it too!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Members Give and Receive at November Meeting

The November meeting at the Woodmont Country Club took guests on a journey through the decades.  Besides being the monthly gathering of all things ISES, this meeting helped raise money to Big Mama's Team of Life Organization. Guests also brought a variety of canned goods to be donated.
The main event space of the club was transformed into an intimate environment, where industry pros sponsored tablescapes designed after their favorite decade. From the 1920's to the 1980's, the tables not only expressed the sponsors' stylish flair (after all, it is what they do on a daily basis!) but also the quintessential look of that decade. Event Furnishings & Décor provided a chic all-white lounge on one end of the room. A plush white leather sectional gave guests the perfect spot to survey the event.
Downtown Events and Catering, the new in-house caterer at the club, prepared delicious butler-passed bites that included crab cakes, sliders, brie and apricot pizza, and more. A&M Productions up lit the room in bright colors and made sure the best music from every era played throughout the evening.  Premier Event Staffing paired specially choreographed dance routines with the music, including a jazz number and a 60's-inspired dance with a stilt walker set to the 5th Dimension's 1967 hit Aquarius.  The company also brought in a fabulous Andrews Sisters act that amazed guests with its harmonies and added a touch of nostalgia. Natasha Lipshtick was also on-hand with her psychic sidekick to perform tarot card readings, hand writing analysis, and more.
Guests tried their luck at the raffle table, which included a $3,500.00 golf package from Woodmont, weekend getaway and dinner at the Embassy Suites Boca Raton,  and gift certificate to America's Backyard, to name a few.
In all, it was a wonderful evening where the spirit of giving was evident: members got yet another wonderful meeting experience while giving back to the community at the same time.

New Member Profile:
Amy Krasick, Event Furnishings & Decor

Tell us about your company
We have recently merged with Event Linens & Drapes to form the new face of Event Furnishings and Décor (EFD). This union will better serve our clientele by offering not only stylish furniture, but spandex linens, draping and much more. Be sure to check out the expanded inventory and photo gallery showcasing our capabilities to make your event more than just special!

What makes sets you apart from the rest?
We strive on being there for the client at all costs to make sure they are happy with the event they are producing.  From day one of them contacting me, I get back to my clients immediately and do little extras throughout the process like sending photos of pillows, doing CAD Drawings, etc., to make sure they know what they are receiving [on the day of the event]. Then on set day, I will typically be on site to assist and our crew will help out in anyway possible. We don't just drop and run so to speak.

What are your professional goals
My professional goals are simple:  If I help enough people get what they want, I will get what I want...it's a win-win for all!

What do you hope to get out of ISES in the months to come?
To continually meet new people and see if we can help each other out....whether it's a competitor or a potential client....I hope to work with everyone at some point.
