I opened up my February 2012 

"O Magazine" to a page titled "The Spark." This is a section where various contributors share how they stay inspired. They uncover their secret to sparking creativity by having them answer the following; "I'm most creative..., If I were a color, I'd be..., I often imagine myself..., I really wish I knew how to..., I'd love to spend a lazy Sunday..., My secret talent is..."

I got to thinking, What would my answers be to those questions? So I picked up my journal, a pen and began to find out. I was very surprised when I naturally replied, "Wind surf and swim with whales" when I penned my answer to "I really wish I knew how to..." Wind surf, are you kidding me, I thought! Then I began to notice most of my answers were filled with references of me being near or in the ocean. I remembered lately in my dreams I am often at the ocean and sometimes swimming with whales. I was now thinking What does this all mean? I realized it is a spark, an inspiration from my Soul, the Mystic side of my Soul, and if I tap it I can discover what I truly desire and the strength to become the whole of me.

Within our Soul lives the truth of who we are and who we are meant to become. When we find ways of tapping that energy we can hear, cultivate and give creative voice to it's will. We can then allow that will to get in the drivers seat so it can run over the ego when it tells us "no, no you will never... you are not... what makes you think you can..." You see, the ego's job is to keep us...
