Greetings!
Welcome to the glorious Indian summer days of autumn! I hope you are enjoying the vibrant colors and warm afternoons. I certainly am. They are a perfect invitation to spontaneously spend some time in the sunshine. I invite you to do so without hesitation and wish you were here to enjoy the crisp air of Rocky Mountains with me!

"Be Spontaneous!"
Last week I was spontaneously invited by my pilates instructor to go with her to the stable where she takes riding lessons. She wanted to visit "Tiger B," the horse that graciously and patiently allows her to ride him. She told me she needed some "Love from a strong and masculine but gentle male." I hesitated but I didn't know why. The usual things I had to do on a Tuesday afternoon could wait. Just as I could feel I was holding myself back she said "Oh come on, go with me, it will feel good." With that I said "Okay!"

He quickly butted me away with his head then quickly moved in close to let me know he wanted me near but hugs were not allowed. Trust had not been established. I appreciated his firm way of setting his boundary followed with a gentle reminder he enjoyed my company. He was just as my instructor described "A strong and masculine but gentle male." I thanked him, said my goodbyes and headed for my car.
As I was driving home I was not sure why I said "Yes" to the invitation to visit "Tiger B." I did note, however, I had a great big grin on my face and the rest of the day I felt a spark igniting an extra pulse of energy into my body. This made me think about how
we get into the flow of our routines. It is natural and comfortable but it can...
