BCA's 2009 Annual Meeting
BCA will celebrate the year just past at its Annual Meeting at 6:30 pm on May 8 with all three floors of the building in use.
Carlton SooHoo's panoramic images will be on display in the ground floor BCA space, and you'll find John Cornelius's Polaroid transfer prints of images from Frederick Harris Jewell's journeys to Egypt, India and China between 1921 and 1937 in the Bedford TV studio.
In the Great Room, Ian Faulkner and Dan Fiori will play saxophone and keyboard for your listening pleasure; delectable nibblies will tempt your palate; and we'll hold our brief annual business meeting.

Jerry's House Concert
Folk singer and author Scott Alarik will present a house concert in memory of Jerry Christen, BCA's founder on May 30. Doors will open at 7:30 and the show starts at 8pm. Tickets are limited and additional details will be available shortly.

Kudos to BCA Artists
Ronnie Gould's work was cited for excellence during the recent exhibit "State of Clay" in the Parson's Gallery at Lexington Arts and Crafts Society.
BCA glass artist Mary Johannessen's work has been chosen for both the Marlboro and Northampton Paradise City Arts Festivals.

2009 Bedford Schools Art Show
Stop by the Bedford High School on Friday
May 1 from 6-9pm, Saturday May 2 from 10am-4pm, or Sunday May 3 from 11am-3pm to see artwork by every child in the Bedford public school system. The kids are proud to see their work and you're apt to be amazed by the quality of their work.

Call for Artists in Lowell
Superintendent of Lowell Public
Schools Chris A. Scott cordially invites artists to attend an informal meeting of
district art teachers and local artists.
The meeting will
brainstorm creative possibilities for partnerships between local artists and
district art teachers and investigate ways for local artists to enhance and enrich the visual arts experiences of students and
consider how we might establish ongoing partnerships and programs between local
artists and art teachers.

40th Anniversary Master Singers Concert
The
Master Singers of Lexington will celebrate their 40th Anniversary with a gala
concert on Saturday evening, May 9, at 8:00 p.m. at First Parish in Lexington,
7 Harrington Road on the Battle Green.
Bedford residents Meg Weston and David and Sarah
Getty have sung in this select chamber choir for an aggregate of 92
years!
