Bedford Center for the Arts (BCA) is celebrating the arts
with more than 20 artists participating in Open Studios, Saturday, April 25th
and Sunday, April 26th from noon to 5 pm.
Fine art and crafts by Bedford's artists range from paintings, ceramics,
glass, photography, sculpture, jewelry and more will be on display and for sale
throughout Bedford in studios, homes and Old Town Hall.
This is an opportunity to visit studios and get an insider's
view of working artists--see their tools and discuss their techniques, media
and ideas in a relaxed setting. To plan your visits, view the studios' map, and
learn more about the artists and their work, click on the link at the top of the page. For further information contact Susan Grieb
at 781-275-3991.
Also featured at the close of day one is a reading by
students of BCA's "Write it Down!" writing class. Join us from 5-7 pm at BCA's main studio at
Old Town Hall for light refreshments and a presentation of short poignant and
humorous pieces created in the class.
BCA's mission is to support the community's artistic desires
through classes, workshops, musical and dramatic presentations, lectures,
movies, exhibits, and other arts-related activities. As a small, all-volunteer
organization, we focus our efforts on partnerships and collaborations that can
bring these opportunities to Bedford.
Bedford Open Studios is supported in part by a grant from
the Bedford Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the
Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
