Strategic Planning
Each school year the board should revisit the short and long range goals of the district. Successful school districts have a clear mission, vision, and goals that ultimately guide everything that happens within the school system. School boards should make sure there is an up-to-date document that expresses the expectations of the community. Having a knowledgeable and experienced facilitator during district planning is very important.
