Sexy Never Went Away
Tyler, Fred and Hunter Henritze.
People may lie, but numbers do not. And, according to the numbers, Brookdale Group President Fred Henritze is the Sexiest Man in Atlanta Commercial Real Estate.
Late last year, we asked readers to tell us who is the sexiest man in Atlanta commercial real estate. Overwhelmingly, it's Henritze, followed closely by Prologis' Richard Strader. After that, sexiness went over a cliff, with legendary broker/developer Bobby McDougall placing third.
Henritze's boundless appeal has helped Bookdale become one of the leading property investment firms in the Southeast and yielded six children as well. Even his family acknowledges it.
"I think the quality of sexiness comes from within," said Hunter Henritze, Fred's son. "It is something that is in you or it isn't. For my dad, it has always been so easy."
Added brother Tyler, "His sex appeal is like his golf handicap, off the charts."
Even youngest brother, Porter, realizes the good fortune his lineage brings. "He is real estates version of the Dos Equis guy, just sexier," Porter Henritze said.
Rooster Media has hired the NCAA to investigate voting irregularities involving the Henritze brothers.

A Cause for Camping
Back row: CB Richard Ellis' Bill Kee, Dick Myrick, Pat Murphy, David Lanier and Trey Barry, in addition to Trey's son Patrick. Front row: Several campers attending Camp Blue Sky.
With winter fading, here comes warmer weather and blue skies. Camp Blue Skies, that is. Hosting the event in Rutledge, GA this week, Camp Blue Skies provides adults with developmental disabilities an opportunity to meet new friends and experience new activities.
Atlanta camp co-founded by Richard Sesler, a former real estate executive from Charlotte, and Trey Barry of CB Richard Ellis, Blue Skies is currently hosting 40 campers with over 50 volunteers. The real estate community has decided to get involved by including over a dozen volunteers and raising more than $20,000 for the good cause. With activities that include fishing, dancing, cooking, boating and pottery (just to name a few), Camp Blue Skies looks forward to serving individuals an exciting and educational experience year after year. |
In Case You Missed It...
Bonneau Ansley of Harry Norman Realtors.
When you're a Realtor in a town that has a neighborhood named after your family, you'd better know what you're doing. Good thing Bonneau Ansley does, indeed, know the lay of the land when it comes to Atlanta's residential market, especially at the higher end.
Ansley's expertise isn't limited to metro Atlanta, though. For more than a decade, he's been involved with coastal residential development and the construction of more than 70 luxury homes along the Georgia and South Carolina coasts, which are again showing signs of life. The Ansley Companies' coastal construction totaled $17 million in 2010, compared with nil in 2008 and 2009.
Back in Atlanta, Ansley, who hangs his shingle with Harry Norman Realtors, is working to close out sales of Regents Park, a luxury townhome development at 2440 Peachtree Road near Peachtree Battle that has five remaining properties in the $1.7 to $2.5 million range. Ansley's efforts at Regents Park helped him earn the distinction of top producer, city-wide from the Atlanta Board of Realtors in 2009.
While the Atlanta residential market still has its share of turbulence, there are plenty of buyers, Ansley said. Sellers just have to be aware of market realities.
"They have to look at the big picture," Ansley said. "If they're looking to take a step up, they'll buy at a favorable price that makes up for any loss of value in their previous home."
The Residential Rooster launched yesterday. If you would like to hear what all the crowing is about with in-town residential real estate, click here and update your profile settings to make sure the Residential Rooster is included in your inbox next Wednesday. |
