Broker Festivus
Cause and Effect: Dave Watson of Grubb and Ellis, (left) founder of Brokerfest with Doug Smith of Seefried Properties, (right) founder of Dana G. Smith Cancer Assistance Fund
Dave Watson of Grubb and Ellis had the big idea of Brokerfest several years ago, and it's been a huge success. The fourth annual event was held last Thursday night at The Foundry at Puritan Mill, a gentrified warehouse setting for a great night of food, cocktails, live music and casual networking.
From left to right: Sam Richardson with Chelsea Campbell of Cushman & Wakefield and Leigh Braswell of Lincoln Properties.
Hundreds of real estate professionals gathered for for the event, which included a silent auction that raised more than $3,000. Proceeds from the auction benefit RPAC (REALTOR'S Political Action Committee), and proceeds from the ticket sales aid the Atlanta Board of REALTORS Educational Foundation and the Dana G. Smith Cancer Assistance Fund.

The party was still in full force at closing time. We'd expect nothing less from Atlanta's best in commercial real estate. We'll see you there next year!
Party closers (from left to right): Jonathan Kay, Hodges Management and Leasing Company; Sarah Peddar, Carithers Wallace Courtenay; and Jesse Harty, ING Clarion

Cresa Wins at the Cousins Lunch
From left to right: Scotland Wright of Scotland Wright Associates, Bubba Chrismer of Cresa Partners, Jeff Dils of Cousins Properties, Chad Koenig of NAI Brannen Goddard and Chuck Francis of Cousins Properties.
The Rooster stopped in on Cousins' broker lunch last Thursday at Piedmont Center North. A true southern buffet filled the newly finished conference center on the ninth floor. Jeff Dils and Chuck Francis stayed busy making rounds and schmoozing the crowd with details on the beautiful new office space. From left to right: Alan Joel of Alan Joel Partners, Philip Coven of Alan Joel Partners and Jenna Schulten of Richard Bowers
The room filled quickly, no doubt in response to the drawing held for the first 65 brokers to walk through the door! Bubba Chrismer of Cresa Partners won the foursome at East Lake Country Club, and Brian Greene, also of Cresa, was the proud winner of Falcons Owners tickets.
From left to right: Todd Faulkner, Jon Nixon and Bray Buckley, all of Grubb and Ellis.

Eat Less Chicken

Gregg Metcalf of The Alter Group is truly the greatest Rooster fan in Atlanta. This photo may have something to do with
his support of his uncle's political campaign in Roswell, but
we prefer to accept it as a salute to all things Rooster.
We cannot resist making a competition out
of this amazing photo. We are running an ad contest for the greatest
photo caption. We know you all are creative, so let us hear you! Our
favorite caption wins a free ad in an upcoming
Rooster newsletter. With close to 4,000 subscribers, we know we will get some great feedback.
Send us your caption idea now! We will elect the winner and announce them next Tuesday, November 3rd. Election Day, no doubt.
| We want to cover your next event! Please send our social maven and marketing queen a note with all the deets and we will do our best to be there.
