Nine Years of Brokerage Cheer
Party leaders: Peter Kasian (NAIOP GA Board and Tishman Speyer), Lisa Dunavin (NAIOP GA President and Cushman & Wakefield) and Lisa Ward (NAIOP GA Board and IDI).
The sunny lobby in Cousins Properties' Terminus 200 building was packed with A-listers last Thursday evening as NAIOP honored the top producers and Million Dollar Club honorees at their Ninth Annual Cocktail Party. With the wine, beer, hors d'oeuvres and camaraderie, the anticipation of an improving market from this group was tangible!

Debbie Koenig (NAIOP GA) and Bill Hollett (Americas Capital Partners) award Jeff Lucas (Prologis) for trivia well done.
A little "Before They Were Stars" type trivia, a board of nameless childhood pictures stood at the door as everyone guessed the identification of Atlanta's best. The hardest to identify? Rumor around the party was that it was "The Legend", Bruce Logue.

Some more of Atlanta's Top Deal Makers include
Brian Sutton (NAIOP GA Board and Duke Realty), Glenn Aspinwall (Jones
Lang LaSalle Americas), Dave Watson (Grubb & Ellis), Caroline
Nolen (Barry Real Estate) and Gregg Metcalf (The Alter Group).
With the party still in full force at closing time, its easy to understand why these guys are brokers. Eternal optimists, it's why we love them!
Jim Humphries (Humphries and Company), Laura Thigpen (Hodges Management and Leasing Company) and Joey Phelan (Humphries and Company) enjoy a toast to Atlanta real estate!

The Ethics of Real Estate
Presenter Pat Freeman teaches a young BOMA crowd about the ethics of commercial real estate.
When you have nineteen letters following your name indicating your accomplishments and designations, people listen! Pat Freeman, RPA, SMA, CPM, CCIM, LEED AP, is the Senior Vice President at Wells Real Estate Funds. He gave a room full of young professionals (Age 35 and Older Not Allowed!) a lesson in real estate ethics at the Atlanta BOMA office on Tuesday afternoon with one of BOMA's popular "Lunch-and-Learn" Sessions. A self-proclaimed education geek, Freeman argued the many shades of ethical grays in his spirited and humorous "Ethics: Black & White...?" presentation.
BOMA's next program in this series will be "Behind the Scenes at Atlantic Station" in late September. |
PM Realty in the AM
David Tyler, Chip Roach, Bill Weghorst and Dean Giordano of PM Realty
The Rooster dropped in on PM Realty in Buckhead this week. Providing management and leasing services to over 15 million square feet in Atlanta, it's never slow in this office! We caught their leasing team in a meeting strategizing about marketing and leasing in today's economic conditions. Without divulging all of their trade secrets, we suspect red ties have something to do with it!
