With all the rain we have experienced this season, who could think of Summer?  Without even looking, I can safely say that we set or broke most records for rain fall this spring, just looking at the average lawn is a tell tail sign that all has been good!  Up until now.....

 

What does that mean?  As we all know, the nasty hot and humid days cause severe stress to our turf grass and plants  in our garden beds.  When turf grass is under stress, much like ourselves,  it shuts down.   Many times before this happens when turf grass begins to get weak, desease sets in.  Knowing what to look for can prevent this from happening.

 

The photo above show classic signs of leaf spot.  Leaf spot if not treated, can cause irreversable damage in 72 hours or less.  In most cases, it is misinterpretted as a lawn in need of water and by watering the fungus you are in fact spreading the fungi.

 

If you are noticing anything other than a green healthy lawn, then maybe you have one or more of these very common summer problems.
