A Thank You Message from Our New Governor and Lt Governor

Well done, my friend!

It was your help that enabled the strongest grassroots elections operation in Kansas history.

It was your help that fueled an advance ballot program unlike any other ever led in Kansas.

It was your help that led Kansas voters to speak with a loud and unified voice on Election Day.

It was your help that made everything possible and for that, the simple word of thanks can hardly express our gratefulness.

Thank you for standing beside us in this campaign and the journey ahead. Jeff and I promise to lead an Administration of which you can be proud.

From the beginning, we campaigned on four goals that anchored our Roadmap for Kansas. To strengthen our state, we must hold on tightly to these objectives. With focused economic growth, excellence in education, reform of state government and the protection of families, we can and will set a foundation so strong that other states will look to Kansas as a beacon of good governance.

As we prepare to take office in January, know that this victory belongs to each of us.

Thank you for your vote of confidence, your help and your prayers. We could not have been so successful in this campaign without you.

Proudly,

Sam Brownback

Jeff Colyer

U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback:  Born and raised in Linn County and a graduate of both Kansas State University and the University of Kansas, Brownback worked as a radio broadcaster, attorney, and teacher before becoming Kansas Secretary of Agriculture.  He then served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives and is in his second full term in the U.S. Senate.  Sen. Brownback announced last year he will honor his term limit pledge and not seek re-election to the U.S. Senate in 2010.

St. Sen. Jeff Colyer, MD:  Elected to the Kansas House of Representatives in 2006 and the Kansas Senate in 2008, Dr. Jeff Colyer has volunteered through the International Medical Corps across the globe in numerous warzones including Iraq, Rwanda, Kosovo, Sierra Leone, and Afghanistan.  His work as a state legislator has focused on improving the state's health care system.  A fifth generation Kansan, Dr. Colyer was born and raised in Hays, Kansas.

Candidate Training  Comments from the Chairman

Wow! What an election. Our goal was a "clean sweep" of Kansas and closer to home - a clean sweep of Leavenworth County. We came very close to taking it all.

Our efforts over the past several months have paid off. We began with precinct training in the spring of this year. We added new Precinct Members during the summer and had a great retention of current members through the Primary Election. With constant emphasis on the November election and having all candidates (both at the state level and the local level) come speak at our monthly Town Hall meetings, we built a substantial powerhouse of trained workers and volunteers. This paid huge dividends throughout the summer as Precinct Members walked their precincts, passing out literature and encouraging voter turn-out.

We opened a Party Headquarters in early July and managed to continuously staff it with volunteers. This allowed maximum support to our candidates and served as a base of operations for organizing our grassroots efforts. During the two week period prior to the election, volunteers made thousands of phone calls to voters in support of candidates and to turnout the vote.

Our actions paid off in the November Election, as we retained the 39th and 42nd Districts and took the 41st away from the Democrats. We also won the County Commission seat. We lost the 40th District by a mere 44 votes (Remember-every vote does matter). We came very close to winning the 1st District (KS State Board Of Education) race. With only 2 months to campaign in a race involving four counties, against a 12 year incumbent in a very heavily slanted Democrat area, we almost had an upset.

At the state level, we swept the opposition from power in a "clean sweep".

Now that the election is over, we must encourage and support our current and newly elected officials. A lot of hard work and long hours by many people over the last few months contributed greatly to making this "clean sweep" a reality. Together we made it happen.

Let's now focus our efforts even more diligently to the ultimate victory which awaits us in 2012. Now more than ever is the time to get involved.

Connie's Corner                      by: Rep. Connie O'Brien
Connie ObrienI would like to thank everyone who worked for my re-election. You went the extra mile for me and now it's my turn to go the extra mile for you.

I would like to say that I am truly grateful for the American people. They have let it be known, in a dynamic way, that they believe our country has been heading in the wrong direction. The change they have been seeing in Washington is not what they wanted, in fact, it's quite the opposite. Voters overwhelmingly said that we need to be headed in a new direction. America needs fiscal policies that will actually create jobs. The Kansas Congressional Delegation that's heading to Washington in January will be one determined to deliver on key issues facing our country. When government spending is out of control
; when taxes are no longer helpful but oppressive; when policies are detrimental to the well being of our country and its citizens; it's time to give the party of "No" control, and that's what voters did on November 2nd. In 2011 the face of Congress will take on a totally different look. Conservative Republicans, have control of the House.

Democrats will no longer have the Senate votes needed to pass their legislative agenda over the objections of Republicans. Cap and Trade, No. Government takeover of health care, NO. Stalling on the renewal of federal tax cuts, No More. We're going to see change, long overdue-positive change!

In Kansas, the face of government will look different too. In fact, when the newly elected state officials and legislators are sworn in there are going to be a lot of new faces: a new Governor, a new Secretary of State, a new Attorney General and a new Treasurer. All elected, none appointed! The Kansas House will see new faces, lots of new faces. The 2010 the Kansas House had a majority of Republicans but several voted like Democrats. They voted to give Kansas the second largest tax increase in its history. That coalition of a few Republicans and the majority of Democrats also increased spending by two hundred million. Voters decided to give some new faces an opportunity to live up to their campaign promises. Many of the fiscal liberal Republicans who voted for tax increases and additional spending won't be returning to Topeka. When the 2011 Kansas House convenes the Democrats will have only 33 of the 125 House seats.

What will the Kansas House conservative Republicans do with this new found power? One thing that I'm sure of is this, Republicans have been given the nod and now we must deliver, both here in Kansas and n
ationally.

Here are a few things that we must do in Kansas. We need to look for any outdated, antiquated, regulations and get them off the books. Keep in mind that small businesses owners employee 75% of all the workers in Kansas. We need to help businesses to succeed, not look for ways to penalize them. We need to cut waste and spending wherever it's found. And, we need to use any revenue savings to balance our budget and reduce taxes.

Kansas law demands that we operate on a balanced budget. There are only two possible ways to balance a budget. One is to raise taxes. The other is to cut spending. This past legislative session some legislators decided to raise taxes. Apparently that didn't work. We're still looking at a budget deficit in the hundreds of millions. So what's left? Many of us knew the answer last year but there w
ere not
enough with the courage to do what needed to be done. I believe when legislators return to Topeka there will be a new found resolve to do what's right.

We must reduce the size of government and reduce spending wherever we can.
We must use those savings to balance the budget and reduce taxes, starting with the repeal of the 18% sales tax increase.
We must improve education and require uniform audits of all Kansas school districts.  We must require photo ID's for walk in voters and proof of citizenship for new voters.  We must pass legislation that protects women, children and the elderly from exploitation.
We must make Kansas a place where people will want to live, do business and raise a family.

Kansas, like Washington, is headed in a new direction and I'm looking forward to being a part of many good things in 2011. One thing that all our newly elected legislators need is your input and your prayers. Don't hesitate to let us hear from you.
Thank You and God Bless

A Star is Born                                                              by: Jack Cashill

Other than, say, nuclear war or the Holocaust, there are few things worse than a victory party staged for a losing candidate: all drooping banners, sagging balloons and a few dispirited stragglers discreetly stuffing the last of the baby carrots into their suit jackets.

On the other hand, there are few things more fun than a victory party where everyone wins. And for the good guys there are few places in America where that experience can be had as it can occasionally be had in Kansas.

While pundits focus on the sexier races in the bigger states, allow me to summarize what happened in our part of the world and in one seemingly obscure race in particular.

Coming into the election, Democrats held the office of Kansas governor, secretary of state, lieutenant governor and attorney general. In Johnson County, an affluent Kansas City suburb, Democrats held the congressional seat and six seats in the state house.

At the end of the night, of all the above, Democrats had retained one seat in the Kansas state house. More impressive still were the margins of victory.

Jerry Moran captured an open Senate seat with 70 percent of the vote. Sam Brownback was elected governor with 63 percent. Kevin Yoder, a 30-something state rep, won back a U.S. House seat after 12 years of Democratic control with 61 percent of the vote.

Across the state line in Missouri, the results were nearly as heartening. Conservative, pro-lifer Vickie Hartzler beat 17-term Ike Skelton decisively. And Republican Roy Blunt thumped Robin Carnahan in a U.S. Senate race that was supposed to be tight.

In the near-miss category, Marine veteran Jacob Turk threw a genuine scare into the camp of the allegedly unbeatable Kansas City Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, a guy with a street already named after him.

On both sides of the state line, tireless, underfunded, door-knocking tea-party candidates ousted incumbents in a sundry assortment of races and pushed all Republicans to the right.

One Kansas race that deserves more attention than it might seem to deserve was that for secretary of state. Incumbent Democrat Chris Biggs ran against much reviled Republican aspirant Kris Kobach.

For those who are paying attention, it is not Moran, not Brownback, not Yoder who will emerge as the star of the party, but Kobach.

Kobach ran on the simple message, "Stop Voter Fraud." The Kansas City Star mocked his message as trivial and the candidate as extreme. The Star had been merely parroting the line advanced by the local moderate Republican establishment since Kobach emerged a few years ago: He is too "scary" to win.

For RINOs and Democrats, "scary" means smart, conservative, principled and attractive. By this definition, Kobach is indeed their worst nightmare.

A graduate of a rural Kansas high school, Kobach graduated summa cum laude from Harvard, won a Marshall scholarship to study at Oxford where he earned a doctorate of philosophy in politics and rowed on the Oxford crew.

Not that it matters, but in politics it does, the 44-year-old Kobach is tall, a natural athlete, Hollywood good-looking and modest for all that. Oh yes, and after Oxford, he picked up a law degree at Yale.

In 2001, President Bush awarded Kobach a White House Fellowship to work under Attorney General John Ashcroft, a posting that turned hugely consequential after Sept. 11 of that year.

In Washington, Kobach emerged as the nation's leading authority on illegal immigration. When he returned to Kansas to resume a chaired professorship at the University of Missouri Kansas City, he continued to work nationwide on immigration issues.

This past year, Kobach played a major role in the drafting of the Arizona anti-illegal immigration bill. In a saner world, Kobach's Arizona work would have made him a local superstar, but in the insane precincts of academia, media and polite local society, it evoked only calls for his head.

"I have an issue with our secretary of state traveling around the country being involved in very volatile issues and Kansas being known for that," said Kobach's opponent, incumbent Chris Biggs.

The Kansas City Star could not have agreed more. "Chris Biggs and Kansas voters are standing in front of a runaway engine," wrote Star columnist Barbara Shelley. "If this train runs them over, one needn't look far down the track to see the impending wreck."

The wreck has arrived. No Republican beat an incumbent more soundly than Kobach beat Biggs: 59 to 37 to be precise. The liberal experiment is over in Kansas. The RINOs are on the run.

Communist Invasion or Islam in America

Kirk SoursSometime in the future the morning headline reads:

"America Invaded: New Totalitarian Government Established"

As you read the story that follows, you learn that Communists from America's old arch nemesis, Russia have been successfully infiltrating American institutions for the last 30 years. The "invasion" was not the expected typical military type where the Red Army poses an amphibious assault accompanied by paratroopers, air strikes and hoards of infantry and hardware. No this invasion has been much more covert; so much so that the American public has even assisted the enemy in achieving a stealth invasion and consequent subversion of existing government and society.

Slowly, and steadily, agents were strategically placed in American media that were sympathetic to the Communist cause, and given orders to influence and subvert all information to enhance the public view of Communism on news and entertainment venues throughout the land. Leadership positions inside trade unions, civic organizations, and sports clubs had been infiltrated by dues paying members whom no one ever suspected of having subversive ideologies contrary to the American way of life. The United States Government played an impressive role in bringing these agents inside by issuing thousands of work and student visas to applicants from countries under Communist rule. Many never reported to class.

They were even allowed under American law to establish nonprofit organizations to propagate their message and raise funding and recruit new members for foreign military operations that would endanger Americans and our allies, both at home and abroad. These organizations brandish such titles as: "Communist Students of America (CSA)", "North American Communist Trust" (NACT), "Communist Society of North America"(CSNA), and "Communist American Youth Association" (CAYA). These were but a few of the groups under the umbrella of the Communist Brotherhood, a known terrorist organization bent on spreading communism across the world and bringing the entire globe under Communist rule.

Government offices, departments and bureau's, as well as private corporations, had been unwittingly hiring employees and contractors whose intended purpose was to infiltrate and network inside these institutions in order to bring them under control of the Party. Anyone who objected or tried to inform the public of what was happening was instantly relegated by the media to the "fringes" and labeled "Commiephobes". Even the American military had been infiltrated by these tactics as peer pressure and fear of losing pensions, and positions kept officers and supervisors from exposing these Communist agents, even though they were openly propagating Communist ideology in briefings and classrooms.

Academic centers from major universities right on down to the elementary grade schools had been encouraged by the Department of Education, teachers unions and text book publishers to teach students the virtues of Communism while ignoring the human rights violations that perpetuate the reality of Communist run states. Many teachers and classrooms had been invited by local Communist Party leaders to bring students to participate in educational activities at known Communist education centers, which introduced them to the Communist ideology and invited the students to actually take part in some of the activities reserved strictly for Party members, including learning the credo of all faithful Party members. All the while, the message to the students is the superiority of Communism and the inferiority of all other forms of government.

"How could this have happened?" you ask yourself, stunned to find armed guards standing on your very own neighborhood street corner. Martial law has been declared and you awoke this morning to the brand new Peoples Republic of Amerika.

Sound ludicrous?

Of course. Everyone knows that Americans would never stand by and let Communists infiltrate and subvert our society and government, yes even help them by encouraging fellow Americans to "accept and tolerate" the Communist propaganda perpetrated throughout our media. Neither would our citizens, under the guise of "pluralism", accept the indoctrination of our students and children as an "alternative belief system" through our schools. The moment parents witnessed their 5th grader reciting the Communist Manifesto and pretending to be Karl Marx or Joe Stalin, the local school board would be inundated with angry complaints demanding this ideology be stripped from the curriculum. (Well... one would hope this would be the case.)

However, this is precisely what has happened and is happening at this very moment. With one minor difference. Go back and read the "fictional" story and substitute the word "Communist" with the word "Islam" or Muslim". Now it is no longer fictional. It is fact.

Islam has been infiltrating America for 30 years at every level. And while we have not yet awaken to find ourselves living under Sharia Law, that morning may not be far off.

It is fact that Islam has made deep inroads into American society via every major facet of culture, finance, education and government, as well as religion. We now see mainstream Protestant churches welcoming Islamic clerics for "interfaith dialogue" with their congregants. Mostly, "interfaith dialogue" is a euphemism for "Islam speaks, Christians listen". A historic Christian church in Denver, CO added a Shiite Muslim cleric to their staff in 2004, to head up their "Abrahamic Initiative", while maintaining his position as head of the Islamic Center of Ahl Al-Beit in west Denver. Huh?

Sharia compliant finance is fast becoming a standard policy of major banks and corporations worldwide. The White House just recently brought in a "White House Fellow", Samir Ali, who has been working for the law firm Hogan Lovells - which claims to have advised on more than 200 Islamic finance transactions with an aggregate deal value in excess of $40 billion. Her duties in the Department of Homeland Security, according to the White House website: "She is responsible for counseling clients on mergers & acquisitions, cross-border transactions, Shariah-compliant transactions, project finance and international business matters. During her time with Hogan Lovells, she has been a founding member of the firm's Abu Dhabi office."

Other Obama Administration appointees include: Rashaad Hussain, Special Envoy to the Organization of Islamic Conference (the worldwide Islamic religion's delegation to the United Nations); Kareem Shora, Advisory Council, DHS; Dalia Mogahed, Advisor to the President on issues facing the Muslim Community in the United States (an outspoken proponent of Sharia Law); Arif Alikhan, Assistant Secretary for Policy Development, DHS.

In Fort Hood, Texas, the political correctness in the US Army became obvious as Major Nidal Hasan declared jihad and killed 13 soldiers and wounded 43 more in the name of Allah, "the Beneficent, the Merciful". Hasan had been speaking and telegraphing his future actions for months. While stationed outside Washington he attended the well known Dar al-Hijra (Land of Migration) Mosque, in Falls Church, VA. In 2007, at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, he gave a presentation entitled, "The Koranic World View As It Relates to Muslims in the U.S. Military", in which he laid out the problems and misgivings of Muslims in the American military of the United States deploying Muslims to fight Muslims. He went on to quote both Koran and Hadith passages which instruct Muslims to fight non-Muslims and bring them under submission of Islam. On his slide number 48 he says, "We love death more then (sic) you love life". His recommendation was this, "Department of Defense should allow Muslim Soldiers the option of being released as "Conscientious objectors" to increase troop morale and decrease adverse events." (Nidal Hasan) [Emphasis added] After the shooting, several reports surfaced about people who voiced concern, or noticed these signs, and yet nothing was done for fear of "rocking the boat".

[Out of this tragic loss of our noble soldiers, who perished under enemy fire (IMO), comes one small shred of satisfaction: Hasan, the great mujahidin, was not permitted the status of martyrdom, rejected by Allah, and taken down by an infidel woman nearly half his size, who pumped 3 rounds into him before he could shoot himself or anyone else. He will not walk again and faces the death penalty. Poetic justice indeed.]

Islamic network organizations abound in the US of which many have been tied to recruiting and financing terrorism. They enjoy the status and protections under American law as "charitable", "research", and "civil rights" organizations yet have the unified goal of replacing American law with Sharia, and thus the destruction of the United States as we have known it. These groups are as follows: MAYA (Muslim Arab Youth Association), AIG (American Islamic Group), ICW (Islamic Cultural Workshop), CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations), AMC (American Muslim Council), ICNA (Islamic Circle of North America), MPAC (Muslim Public Affairs Council), AMA (American Muslim Alliance), ISNA (Islamic Society of North America). These groups and many more are part of an umbrella group known as "Muslim Brotherhood" or "The Ikwan".

Steven Emerson, perhaps America's foremost authority on Islamic Terrorism, authored "American Jihad-The Terrorists Living Among Us", in which he exposes these groups and their ties to Al-Qaida, HAMAS, Hizballah and Islamic Jihad, all four terrorist groups which are present in many cities across the United States. For instance, HAMAS is active in Kansas City, Dallas, Tucson, LA, New York, and Houston. Al Qaida is active in Ft. Lauderdale, Boston, Columbia, MO, and Arlington, TX. These groups are not new; many have been here dating back to the 1970's.

Something that is fairly new is the appearance of charter schools sponsored or administrated by more benign Islamic groups. Many of these non-militant groups are of Turkish origin and can be traced to Fethullah Gulen, a Turk who lives in Saylorsburg, PA. Students receive a well disciplined education in the sciences and the arts, and also a generous dose of Islamic indoctrination. Many of these schools receive Federal money. Mr. Gulen can be associated with at least 85 of these charter schools in the United States. He is known here as an educator, and philanthroper, but in Turkey, he is known as the single most powerful influence pushing the historically secularized Turkish government toward Islamization. He escaped Turkey in 1998, fleeing to the US, avoiding charges of sedition against the government of Turkey. In 2002, the FBI was pressing to deport him, but the Bush administration stopped the process. Mr. Gulen has enjoyed the admiration of three US Presidents to date, and has been key in establishment of, not only Islamic charter schools, but aided by the Bush administration, the "Institute for Interfaith Dialogue" as well as a myriad of other groups such as "Raindrop Turkish House", "Turquoise Council of American-Eurasians"(TCAE), The Gulen Institute, Atlas Foundation, and EbruTV. These organizations all form intercultural relationships with key American administrators, businesses, government offices on all levels, legislators, and civil services.

The formal description in Islam is "Dawa". This is basically "peaceful jihad". The strategy is this: Americans reject violent jihad (terrorism). However, they do seem to have great respect for smiling gentlemen in business suits from cultures and societies other than their own. The ultimate objective is the same as the jihadi's, only the means are different. Establishment of Sharia, and the "Global Ummah" (Islamic community).

Another method that seems to be gaining popularity is unabashed barging into the public school system through textbooks which contain heavy Islamic influenced propaganda extolling the virtues of the "one true religion" and barely a passing mention to Christianity and Judaism.

If that isn't bold enough take a look at this video in which a Massachusetts public school classroom was invited for a "field day at the Mosque" and then invited to pray with the Muslims.

Still not convinced? Go back to sleep. The morning paper will be on your doorstep...

An Anonymous Observation
"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of
entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president."
