Events, meetings and incentives are the backbone of business. You know it. ES knows it. So how come everyone from A.I.G. to Goldman Sachs to your association or your company is canceling conferences, incentives and other events? Meetings and events are responsible for 15 percent of all travel-related spending, create nearly $40 billion in tax revenue at the federal, state and local level, and generate more than 1 million jobs, according to the U.S. Travel Association. It's time to make our collective voice heard. That's why Event Solutions is endorsing Keep America Meeting, a grassroots effort to draw attention to the vital role these gatherings play in building successful businesses and supporting the American economy. Join Event Solutions, along with the Society of Incentive Travel Executives, Society of Independent Show Organizers, U.S. Travel Association and a coalition of industry publications. Sign Keep America Meeting's online petition at KeepAmericaMeeting.org. The petition signatures will be delivered by Keep America Meeting to the U.S. Travel Association and industry leaders from key organizations to fuel industry-wide efforts with the White House and the U.S. Congress. Support our vibrant industry. Make your voice heard today! |

The Special Event Conference (TSE) Recap from ISES Denver's Scholarship Winner
TSE Recap from Bella Fiori: The Special Event offered a huge trade show were I was able to peruse aisle after aisle of event props, linens (tons of linens), floral wholesalers, feather vendors, crystal chandelier makers, hot lounge furniture, the list goes on and on... perhaps the trade show was the most fun of the week? Another great thing about TSE and perhaps the most important part?! Getting to know the vendors you already work with here in Denver a little bit better. Lunches and dinners together to chat about the seminars you attended, who you met and what you are excited to try once returning to Denver. I will admit it didn't hurt to be in sunny San Diego during January either. To read more feedback from the conference visit: TSE Recap

ISES going green thanks to Dance Trax Entertainment!
Josh Pierce and Dance Trax Entertainment, Inc. have contributed to making our ISES meetings more green buy purchasing wind power certificates and carbon credits to offset all of the electrical and carbon footprint created from all 10 of this fiscal year's ISES events. This covers all of the electrical energy used during setup, run and strike of each meeting by all of the vendors involved as well as the electrical energy used to illuminate walkways coming and in and out of each venue. This also covers all of the carbon pollution created by personal vehicles transporting up to 100 guests to each meeting and up to 5 work trucks. The impact of this offset prevents 30,880 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions from being emitted into the atmosphere! This has an equivalent impact as planting 130 trees or not driving 31,510 miles! | |
