Audi release A3 e-tron electric concept The recent Shanghai Motor Show saw the first appearance of Audi’s latest electric concept car, the A3 e-tron. Audi has used the body of the notchback A3 concept which was shown in March, but has equipped the car with a plug-in electric drive system, with a 60 kW (82 PS) electric motor linked to lithium-ion battery packs. What to take on a driving holiday! With Summer trying to make an entrance weekends and bank holidays will see motorists taking to the roads and making their journeys to theme parks, seaside resorts, the countryside, and for idyllic day-trips. While most drivers setting out on their Summer trips will have made sure the suntan lotion and sandwiches are packed, many drivers may forget to take items essential in a breakdown. A priority for your car’s holiday checklist should be a first-aid kit to cope with any passenger problems en route along with a phone card or some small change for use in any emergency where a mobile phone wouldn’t be available. In the warm weather we recommend drivers keep a drink and a snack to hand. Some music to listen to can help you relax and take the stress out of traffic hold-ups and allow you to make the most of the day. It is very important that motorists and their passengers are prepared for busy journeys in Summer weather. Simple measures, such as keeping plenty of activities in the car to keep the children occupied will help to make travelling much more fun and easier too - after all it is the holidays! |
