Pastor's Note
What a joy for me to be a small part of the this past weekend's Men's Emmaus Walk. Emmaus is one avenue through which Harvester helps people develop a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. It is a joy to see how God continues to use this ministry each fall and spring in the lives of those who participate. I invite everyone to pray with me for our ladies participating in the Women's Walk this upcoming weekend. Beyond that, our trustees led a great work day on Saturday. We completed a number of much needed tasks on our building and grounds. One of the most visible is the tent and pallets for the pumpkins that arrive on Friday evening. I look forward to seeing many of you at 5:00 PM on Friday evening to unload and fill those pallets with squash for Christ!!

Children's Ministry
Playtime in the Patch is a fun outreach event hosted here at Harvester for toddlers and preschoolers. We plan to offer this on Tuesday, October 13th and Wednesday, October 21st from 10:30-11:15am. If you are interested in helping at this event, please contact Jennifer Smith through the church office. Thank you!
Our "Volunteer Central" board is on the large rolling board in the hall. We have plenty of opportunities for you to help with our children's programs throughout this school year. Check it out to see where you might serve.
Our SMENCILS fundraiser is close to wrapping up! Smencils (gourmet scented pencils made from recycled newspapers) are available in 10 scents and the kids love them! They are $1 each. Thanks to all of you who have already purchased Smencils. We only have a few left, so catch us on Sunday mornings before we run out! Proceeds benefit our Playground Fund.
