Barb and I are so looking forward to seeing everyone again at the Family Back to School Bash this upcoming Sunday! It will take some getting used to after the cooler and drier air of Canada!. I'm sure you found Gary Evans' message on the Great Commission extremely encouraging and motivating. This coming weekend, John Peterson from the Florida United Methodist Foundation will bring the messages on Sunday morning, with our Youth Worship team leading at 10:30. Saturday evening will be a Bible Discussion on "A Generous Heart" facilitated by Jeannette Phillips. I'm so blessed to be a part of such a multi gifted congregation.

Our SMENCILS FUNdraiser begins this Sunday (August 30th) at the Back to School Bash. Smencils (gourmet scented pencils made from recycled newspapers) are available in 10 scents and the kids love them! They are $1 each. Check them out this Sunday! Proceeds will go toward our Playground Fund.
Calling all PARENTS! We need you to help with Sunday school this fall. We urgently need at least 4 more adults to help cover our classes beginning in September! Please talk with Jennifer Smith this weekend to let her know where and when you can help. Thank you!

Mark you calendars....this year's Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, October 24th from 10 until 2. This year we will be having a Yard Sale on the church property from 7am until 12pm on the same date. Please save any items you may have available to donate. Details will be following in the next couple weeks regarding drop-off dates for yard sale items.
Youth Band: Don't Forget.....this Sunday, August 30th at 10:30.....the youth will be leading worship. Please be at the church by 10:00 to allow time to warm up.

Calling All Singers!
The music and drama ministries will join together this Christmas season to present the musical A Baby Changes Everything. Singers are invited to join the choir for rehearsals beginning Wednesday, September 9th from 8-9 pm. The musical, to be presented December 6th, will encourage us to make room in our hearts for the King as we experience anew the life-changing miracle of the Incarnation. Study & Fellowship Groups - Get Connected!
Find a place to connect with other Christians. We have a number of small groups meeting this summer and some great new studies beginning this fall. Click here to find out more.
Set aside Wednesday evening, September 9th for our "Get Connected Mixer" from 6:45-8:00pm. This is a great opportunity to take the next step to connect with the Harvester Family by discovering which group or class is for you! It will be an open house in the sanctuary with displays from each of the groups, class leaders to talk to, and light refreshments. See you there!

- Christian Social Services (Silent Auction & Benefit Dinner - contribute to a spa themed basket for the silent auction)
- Oasis Pregnancy Care Center (special prayer for upcoming events)
