Light Summer Reading
Greetings!
With all the Facebook and strategy work that I do, I sometimes forget that my practice is built on good design. So, ladies and gentlemen, I very happily present an art show of recent work to cool and refresh. In this issue: - Studio News. My book selected out of the blue by Amazon.com!

This is annual benefit season for many religious institutions, and we produce the souvenir journals, invitations, and advertisements for a few of them.
At left, the 83rd Anniversary Journal for the Astoria Center of Israel was a thick, glossy book that used sophisticated color and images from its historic sanctuary for a very polished look.

At right,
the invitation to a Silver Anniversary Celebration at the Temple of
Universal Judaism featured a graphic take on their Tiffany stained glass
windows.

Above, Enewsletters are a vital marketing tool, and an appropriate professional design adds to its vitality. The masthead above is for Paul Helou, a singer/singwriter and recording artist.

At right,
the logo for the NorthEast Region of the Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. The sun is shown shining (from the northeast, of course!) onto the mother church's chalice logo. The logo also features a stylized angel (look for it!)

Left, New York's Nolita Merchants Association is publishing a neighborhood map and needed a cover design that incorporated their multi-colored logo. I wrote the headline and used a typographic solution that echoed the logo.

At right, a trade-show booth that weighs only 5 pounds! This 8-foot pop-up sign for a medical consulting practice uses stock photography and crisp graphics to make a professional impression.

This newsletter for the Park Avenue Christian Church is clean and crisp.

This is a beautiful custom Tarot card that I designed using my client's illustration. On the back of the card, the border is repeated but the center field is blank. That way, Sherrie Lynne, party psychic, can write a personal message to the client and turn what is essentially a business card into a personal keepsake!

Creativity At Work now on sale through Amazon.com!
I received an email from Amazon.com that my book was going to be sold worldwide. But which book? Surely it was Through Tiger's Eyes, the children's book that was a collaboration between Ed Snyder, Judy Kamilhor and myself. But that book has been sold by Amazon right from the start! So what book were they talking about?
The answer came two weeks later in another email. The book was Creativity At Work, a compilation of my graphic work from years past. Obviously, somebody at Amazon was trolling for new design books, discovered it on the self-publishing site that I use, and liked it enough to add it to the big corporate bookshelf.
View it on Amazon but buy it directly from me (where all profits go to children's charities). | |

The Met Puts Its Art (and Advertising) Out On The Sidewalk! The Metropolitan Museum of Art has just installed new sidewalk signs on its famous Fifth Avenue sidewalk. What does it mean?
- ... visitors will enjoy their visit
more because they will know what to look for before they enter the building.
- ... visitors to Central Park (and other "museum mile" attractions) who were just strolling by may stroll on in thanks to an intriguing ad.
- ... visitors will come back in the future to view the upcoming shows that they will be teased about.
- ... pedestrians and drivers who think the museum's exhibits haven't changed in years will be enlightened and motivated to visit.
- ... the museum's advertising will affect highly-educated people 24-hours a day.
We are specialists in outdoor signage from tiny sandwich boards to building wraps. Let me know when you are ready to hook people like the Met.
