Weekly Tips to Help You Create the Life You Desire
Tip of the Week

How Do You Spend Your Time?

Take a piece of paper and draw a vertical line down the middle so you have two columns. Title the first column, "Things I Like to Do" and the second column, "Things I Don't Like to Do." Then start your lists. Try to get at least ten items in each column.

Next to each item on your lists, note the average amount of time you spend during a week or month doing that thing. Add up the hours for each column. What is the ratio of your time spent on things you like compared to things you don't like?

You might just have a "Eureka!" moment. No wonder you haven't been that happy lately. If you spend more time doing the things you don't like, it's time for a change. Start increasing the time spent on the things you like to do in 15 minute increments each week. At the end of the month you will be up an hour. Continue doing so until your ratio leans to the good stuff.

Changing the ratio may take some effort and some time management. The rewards, however, will be worth it!
