Weekly Tips to Help You Create the Life You Desire
Tip of the Week

The 15 to 3 Energizing Ratio

Here's a quick tip for those of you who sit in front of a computer, who have a desk job, or spend a good deal of your day on your butt:

For every 15 minutes of sitting, get up and move a
round for 3 minutes.
It's as simple as that. I can hear you now though, "I can't interrupt my concentration." Or, "I don't have three minutes to waste moving around."

Just try it for a few days and see how different your body and mind feels. Your back and hips will thank you. You also will gain more clarity in your thoughts. Just three minutes can help you feel refreshed. During your three minutes you can:
  • Go to the bathroom
  • Stretch
  • Pace
  • Make a phone call while standing up
  • Get a glass of water
  • Walk over to the window and stare out to rest your eyes
Use the ratio in the evening too. When sitting in front of the TV (you know you do it sometimes!) get up at each commercial. Do the same when you're on your computer.

For those who are doubting this will help or you feel you don't have the time, try doing a 30 to 3 ratio at first to ease yourself into doing self care in this way.
