Singing in the Shower (or Car!)
For many people, singing brings them much pleasure. They've sung in choirs, bands, or even karaoke in their local club. But the rest of us, who can't seem to carry a tune, often deprive ourselves of the pleasure of belting out a favorite song.
Singing out loud can bring a smile to your face, reduce your stress, and even improve your lung capacity. If you're not singing in the shower or singing in the car, try it!
Just as music can be a mood changer, singing can double the effect. Start with familiar songs. Then, learn the words to songs you love so you can sing those too. Lyrics are easy to find on the web. Really get into it. Who cares what you sound like? Grab something to use as a microphone and have a rock star fantasy!
Self care is about self soothing. Singing can soothe your heart!
