That Feel Good Fragrance

You know how sometimes when you inhale a specific fragrance, the aroma of a candle, food, perfume, etc., you are instantly transported back to a time when that smell was a part of your life? Well if we get creative, we can use our sense of smell to energize us, change our mood, or just plain feel good.

Some of you may have heard my energizing strategies presentation. In it I tell about how when I was in high school I was "attracted" to boys who wore English Leather cologne. And how now, all I have to do is sniff a little English Leather and I feel like that energetic, excited girl of my youth.

You can do that too! Just remember back to a time when you felt good - happy, energetic, less stressed - and pick a fragrance from that time to "trick" your mind and body into feeling that way again. Then when you need a pick-me-up or a change in mood, inhale that special fragrance for quick fix.
