Habits: The Good, Bad, and Ugly
Some suggest that one can form or break a habit in 15 days, 21 days, 30 days, etc. I believe it depends on the habit!
Part One: The Good
What new habit would you like to have? My friend and business coach, Mark LeBlanc, introduced me to a Camino (the Spanish word for way or path). He defines a Camino as, "a 30 day commitment to yourself and can be physical, spiritual,
religious, social, or fun! Pick something and do it for 30 days in a
row."
To me, a Camino is a positive step, something you do, rather than something you don't do. I did my first Camino, walking 30 minutes a day for 30 days. After the first 30 days, I felt so good about myself that I decided to do another. I'm half way through my second 30 days of walking!
Challenge yourself to your own Camino. You just might develop a new self care habit!

Some words about making and keeping a commitment.
Mark LeBlanc facilitates a Facebook group, Buen Camino. Anyone can join. It's fun and encouraging to be part of this supportive community.
Mark is also an amazing small business coach and mentor. Check out his website, Small Business Success and also his blog, which not only describes his current Camino, but also, has entries from his original Camino when he walked across Spain last summer.
