Taking Care of Yourself
While Caring for a Loved One

One in five American adults provide care for a chronically ill, disabled, or aged family member or friend. Are you one of them? If so here is a Self Care tip for you:

Get a Checkup
Stress takes its toll, especially on an immune system. Don't procrastinate on your own check-ups with your doctor, dentist, or ophthalmologist. You don't let your loved one miss appointments and check-ups; don't let yourself get away with it either.

Did you know...

75 to 80 percent of caregivers are women. Many women put loved ones' needs before their own. You can't do a good job taking care of your loved one unless you are caring for yourself
