Wheel of Life
Directions: The eight sections in the Wheel of Life represent Balance. Seeing the center of the wheel as 0 and the outer edges as 10, rank your level of satisfaction with each area by drawing a straight or curved line to create a new outer edge (see example). The new perimeter represents the wheel of your life.

Greetings!

This past week I had the honor of attending events led by two of the most amazing women in the business world. These ladies are not only the top in their industries, they are also good friends of mine.

Lori Raudnask presented at the Ottawa Real Estate Investors Organization. She focused on the importance of building relationships and how to network correctly.

I also attended Peggy McColl's Ultimate Success event this past weekend. Peggy is a brilliant business woman and author who also teaches about relationships, networking and how to market on the internet.

I am so lucky to have relationships with wonderful people like Peggy and Lori and nowhere is this more evident than in my Evolv business. I have taken what I have learned from professionals like them and applied it to every facet of my business. By doing so, I have created an amazing team and have become a strong believer in finding out how I can help others in their business or life before I ask them to consider my product and business offering.

I can't wait to share what I've learned with you!

Rapport and Relationships in Business
I wouldn't even know where to begin in explaining how much I have learned about business networking from Lori Raudnask. Her insight into business and how to network right are priceless. She has trained hundreds of people around the world in sales, and her unique take on networking sets her apart from all the others.
During her presentation last weekend at the Ottawa Real Estate Investors Organization event, I captured some video that I'd like to share with you (click here to view):

Deborah and LoriThe first video highlights creating a rapport with the people in your network and how this will increase your business through word-of-mouth referrals.

In the second video, Lori discusses the importance of exchanging business cards and how this is the first step to building a relationship with them.

No matter what the situation, Lori always recognizes that meeting someone new is a possible source of business. More importantly, she always recognizes that they are a person and that, by getting to know them and building a relationship, she will be better equipped to know how she can help them and vice versa.

This month, when someone hands you a business card, don't simply say thank you and file it away. Take the time to speak with them, go to lunch, build a rapport and find out how you can help one another achieve success!
Achieving Ultimate Success
For the launch of her SEVENTH book, Peggy McColl decided to throw a party and I was lucky enough to be able to attend. Now, you might ask "What does a party have to do with business?" Let me just say that nobody throws a party like Peggy!

Deborah and PeggyRather than just providing food and repeated sales pitches for her new book, Viral Explosions, Peggy created an entire day of learning and networking with speakers such as Mike Koenigs, Arielle Ford, Brian Proctor, Joyce Bone, Scott Stratten, Rich German and more!  This amazing event was filled with everything you need to know in order to achieve "Ultimate Success".

I spent hours with successful entrepreneurs and leaders in the personal development industry and learned that being a student first and a teacher second brings much more to our lives. This approach is just one example of why Peggy is one of my great mentors and an outstanding role model for women entrepreneurs.

Peggy was, of course, the most awaited speaker of the day. She focused on strategies for creating an explosion in business ranging from online and offline marketing to networking and relationship building. She shared her 25 years of experience and knowledge with the audience and taught us that success doesn't fall in our laps. It must be sought after, worked for and earned. And, one of the easiest ways to do this is through networking. Those relationships create more than just friends. They are a doorway to "Ultimate Success"!
