Leadership Macomb XIV
Justice System Day
Justice System Day was held on April 20th. O'Reilly Rancilio, PCsponsored the day. The participants met at the Macomb County Circuit Court. The day started with Honorables' David Viviano and Mary Chrzanowski giving a fantastic discussion of our Judiciary System. William Cataldo, Macomb County Prosecutor's Office, Chief of Homicide and Brian Legghio, Defense Attorney, continued with a lively conversation on the Criminal Justice System. The morning concluded with Bee Friedlander, Animals and Society Institute discussing one of their objectives to stop the cycle of violence between animal cruelty and human abuse.
After lunch, the afterno on session began with a tour of the Macomb County Jail. Sheriff Anthony Wickersham (pictured left) graciously allowed the participants behind the scene access to jail operations. The day ended with a tour of the Juvenile Justice Center with Charles Seidelman, The Director.
LM would like to thank our sponsor, O'Reilly Rancilio, PC; Honorable David Viviano for the use of his court room during our morning sessions; our committee members, and presenters for putting on an exciting, informative, and successful program session!

Hope Center
On April 9, 2011, 20 Leadership Macomb friends and graduates volunteered to help out at the client choice food pantry at the Hope Center in Fraser. The Hope Center is a "one-stop-shop," that provides access to services for individuals and families in need. The focal point of the center is a clientt-choice food pantry, the only client-choice food pantry in Macomb County. We helped great guests, stock shelves, and pack groceries. It was a great experience for everyone that participated.
