Dear Macomb Business Partner,

We invite you to participate in the Third countywide Macomb Business Climate Survey being conducted by Oakland University in collaboration with the Macomb Chamber Alliance, Leadership Macomb, and the Macomb Planning and Economic Development Department.  An average of five hundred business leaders responded to the first two surveys and we hope to exceed that number this time.  We have made several improvements to the survey based on your feedback.  More importantly, the business attitudes expressed in this survey will be presented to the new Macomb County Executive and Board of Commissioners as policy recommendations, so your input is very important.

            Responses to the survey are anonymous and only aggregate results will be published.  A copy of the final report will be available by the end of January.  An executive summary will also be distributed at the annual Economic Forecast luncheon scheduled for January 20, 2011.  As in the past, the findings will be used as a baseline to measure progress toward improving the business climate in Macomb County and to assist in identifying opportunities for economic development and job growth.
