Futureproof : Artists Talks

Three of the exhibiting 'Futureproof' artists, Victoria Baker, Mike Hunter and Martin Scott Powell will give a talk on their work this coming Saturday 6th December at 3pm. Admission is free and all are welcome.
'Futureproof' is an exhibition profiling the enigmatic work of 4 emerging image-makers whose work gravitates between, and plays upon, the genres of documentary and staged photography. Graduating in 2008 from 3 of Scotland's photography courses, Victoria Baker, Mike Hunter, Katrina Johnk and Martin Scott Powell variously construct situations and narratives through the use of the figure in real and artificial environments, or in one case through its contrasting absence.
Exhibition runs until 20th December

Street Level Photoworks was founded in 1989. From its inception it has provided artists and the public with the opportunity to produce and participate in photography and lens-based media. It aims to make artistic production accessible, both physically and intellectually, to a wide audience.
