The beginning of May brings two traditions back to Greensburg and Decatur County. First, The WTRE Home, Lawn and Garden Show. Saturday, May 1 brings the annual WTRE Home Lawn and Garden Show to the Livestock Barn at the Decatur County Fairgrounds between 8 am and 3 pm. | Highpoint Opens May 4 for the season |
 Opening day for the 2010 season at Highpoint Orchard and Farm Market is set for Tuesday, May 4. Located at 3321 N. | Hoosier Hospitality Awards to include a Decatur County Recipient |

Indiana will honor 18 frontline hospitality industry employees with a special ceremony at the Statehouse on May 10th at 1:30 pm. Lt. Governor Becky Skillman will present the awards to recognize the importance these individuals play in our industy and its economic impact on our state.

| AKC brings National Coonhound Championship back to Greensburg |
| The American Kennel Club will crown their national Coonhound Champion at the end of competition in Greensburg on Saturday, May 8. This is the third straight championship hosted here. More than 200 competitors gather for elimination. They hunt with guides in Decatur and contiguous counties. Their base is the Decatur County Fairgrounds. Welcome! |

| 2011 Indiana Festival Guide Planning and Sales Begin |
2010 was a year of transition for the Indiana Festival Guide as it is now produced by the Indiana State Festival Association. Membership gives festivals a listing in the guide.
