We hope you are having a wonderful beginning of 2010! ABK has added many new features to our website to help parents with class schedules, calendar of events, curriculum pages, and more.
It is easier than ever to see what is going on at ABK. Please go to www.abkfun.com and look around. Our schedules button will allow you to view current class schedules in all of our programs. The Calendar button will take you to an ABK calendar listing events with days/times. Click on an event to see more information about the event.
Summer Camp flyers are ready!! Many parents have been asking about our 2010 summer camps. The registration/information flyer is available at the front desk and on our website. Go to Camps and then click on the button of the camp you are interested in!
New Website Feature: Gymnastics curriculum! Want to see what skills your child must have to move to the next level? Go to Gymnastics, click on Recreational Gym and then click on Curriculum. Boys and girls recreational gymnastics skills are shown for white, orange, blue, purple, green, and red levels.

Parent's Night Out Party
Parents drop your children off and let them have a great time in a safe environment. We have pizza, fun games, great activities, open gym, snacks and more!!!!

Karate Events
Black Belt Seminar - Nunchaku:
Date: Saturday, February 20
Level 1 - 12:30-1:30pm
Level 2 - 1:30-2:30pm
The Nunchaku is a Japanese weapon comprised of two sections of wood connected by a rope or chain. Students will be taught various strikes, blocks, catches, and gathers. All students will be learning with a pair of foam Nunchaku which they will be able to take home after the seminar!!
Spring Break Karate Camp
9:00am - 3:00pm Monday - Friday March 22-26, 2010
The Focus: The focus of the camp is to instruct campers on proper techniques and progressions involved in martial arts. The camp is specifically designed to help students of all ranks enhance and develop the necessary skills to excel at their current level and prepare them to advance to the next level. Students will be placed in groups according to age and ability. The camp has three principles all students must follow: Have Fun! Be Safe! Work Hard!
Cost: $249 for basic members
$210 for Black Belt Club members

Swim Events
New Preschool Open Swim Time Tuesdays 12-1pm Our preschool open swim is designated for our little swimmers. Children birth up to 5 years of age can spend an hour in our 92 degree pool! A parent/guardian over 18 years of age must be in the pool area (either in the pool or on the pool deck) at all times. $5/member $10/non-member.
Dive In Movie "Finding Nemo"
Thank you to everyone that attended our first Dive In Movie. It was a great success! We hope that all of you who came had a great time, and we look forward to seeing you at our future Dive In's. Please look for information regarding our next Dive in Movie in March. Thank you again! Coach Lena

Ms. Molly would like to issue a request for well constructed gently used toys for preschool. Please contact Molly if you have something you would like to donate mclement@abkkids.com .
Phone calls from parents during preschool class hours:
If your child is enrolled in our preschool program and you are trying to reach the preschool classroom during class hours but reach our general voicemail: Please enter extension 310. This will take you to Ms. Molly's room. If she is unable to answer the phone at that time, it will go directly to Ms. Molly's voicemail and she will return your call at the earliest available time. | |
